About Me

As a dedicated horseshoer based in Big Lake, Alaska, I strive to positively impact every equine companion I encounter and contribute to the thriving horseshoeing community.

I am an Alaskan girl, and mother of a little boy! I grew up in a large family, with parents that taught me my work ethic and integrity. God has blessed me with the sweetest little boy of my own and continues to guide my path into the coolest life story I could have imagined.

Your horse's well-being and performance are my top priorities. Let's work together to provide the best care and support for your beloved equine friend.

  • Where I Started

Like many, I was bitten by the horse bug at a young age. I have taken riding lessons since I was a little girl. And finally, my parents blessed me with a horse at age 13. I joined the Alaska Youth Equestrian Club and rode on their drill teams. I also rode with the Rodeo Alaska Flag team. I got the opportunity to run for rodeo royalty and became Miss Teen Rodeo Alaska 2019”!

  • New Found Passion

After cleaning barns throughout my childhood, I knew I wanted a career around animals. After a failed attempt to enjoy working in a vet clinic, I traded riding lessons for “Horseshoeing Assistant” work. I found myself falling in love with horseshoeing. At the age of 16, I interned under Christian McCormick with Rafter C Ranch in Alaska for 3 years (2018-2020).

  • School

By 2022 I finally had the means to make it to Farrier school. I attended “Pacific Coast Horseshoeing School” in California. The school, people, and knowledge I gained from going to school was incredible.

I got certified in Equine Anatomy, Confomation and its Relationship to Soundness and Equine Lamness through this school.

  • Free Rein Farriery

I started my business in 2022 but established it fully in 2023. I offer a wide range of services with experience and knowledge.
